About Inkeep

We built the support tool we wished we had

Inkeep was founded in 2024 by a team that had spent years watching the same Tier-1 questions fill developer support queues, over and over, while the answers sat in the docs the whole time.

Our mission

Make every developer team's documentation actually do its job

The developer support problem is not a people problem. Most small teams know their product deeply. The problem is that developers ask questions in Slack and Discord and tickets, and every answer lives in a doc that the developer either could not find or did not think to check.

We built Inkeep to close that gap. The agent indexes everything your team knows, answers the repeat questions instantly and with source citations, and routes the genuinely novel questions to the right human. The goal is not to replace your support team. It is to make a two-person team operate like a ten-person one.

We are a small team headquartered in San Francisco, working closely with developer-tools companies and API-first SaaS teams.

The team

Built by people who have run developer support

Nick Gomez
Nick Gomez
CEO & Co-Founder

Nick built developer-facing tools and support workflows across developer experience and API product roles before co-founding Inkeep. He saw the same pattern repeat at every company he worked with: detailed docs, and a support queue full of questions the docs already answered.

Marcus Webb
Marcus Webb
CTO & Co-Founder

Marcus built the indexing and retrieval infrastructure that powers Inkeep. His background is in distributed systems, ML inference, and data ingestion pipelines. He spent years building search infrastructure before turning that work toward developer knowledge retrieval.

Priya Subramanian
Priya Subramanian
Head of Product

Priya owns the product roadmap and the early-access customer program. Customer-facing work at developer tools companies gave her a ground-level view of what support teams actually need before she moved into product. That perspective shapes every feature decision.

Funding

Angel-backed and building for the long term

In November 2025, we closed a $1M angel round from individuals who have built developer tools themselves. We are using it to deepen knowledge indexing accuracy and expand our integration connectors.

We are angel-funded and building in San Francisco. We are focused on making Inkeep genuinely useful for the teams we work with, not on growth metrics.
